Oristila

I'm an artistic photographer born in Vilagarcía de Arousa in 1980. Surrounded by a privileged natural environment, the eyes of my childhood were impregnated with the vivid colors of the forests and coasts of Galicia, my homeland. With 16 years old I discovered the work of acclaimed photographer Helmut Newton and was not indifferent to his extreme and sensual work. It was perhaps the starting point which led me to find a way to express my concerns in this format, then starting Higher Education in Artistic Photography. Since the beginning I clearly knew that my vocation was to observe the surrounding reality through a camera. My profession has become my muse and eternal companion, constantly challenging and keeping me evolving.
I have participated in several group exhibitions and have been selected in various provincial competitions. In recent years I've done all kinds of professional works, enjoying every one of them, from the portrait to concerts, bands, events, decoration and interior design. My specialty is photography in the style of dark, gothic or vintage, but I don't rule out other styles. I like challenges and I'm also open to other proposals of photographic projects. Currently I work in freelance photography both studio and outdoors.
